Englehart had a GL who'd died but his ring kept him going, essentially a Zombie Lantern.

I don't know how the rings would react to vampirism.

Maybe there is just a sector out there of alien vampires and rings don’t discriminate

Obviously writers can do whatever the hell they want, but Multiversity Guidebook has vampire Earth-43 and vampire Hal is GL there.

Zann's death was so pointless, he was played up as a joke so it didn't build up Hal as a threat when he killed Zann, he's seldom used as a character so it's not like it was an emotional punch...so what was the point? Just to be edgy?
If it weren't for that scene this issue would have been a much better read.
