LOL. They won't even put her back on the Avengers where she belongs, or use her in ongoing comics, or even interact with her old friends like Carol Danvers.

Never mind being Sorcerer Supreme, she'll be lucky if she doesn't get another year of nothing but variant covers.

Unfortunately, I agree with this. It would be a great idea but I think a lot of this is just the usual Screenrant clickbait.

There's a possible problem with that. The Scarlet Witch died and resurrected, but with a very old backup. Meaning that anything she learned about the mystic arts since that backup was made is now lost to her. Jean can remind her of "you did this and that" (as they are public knowledge), but not "you learned this and that in X and Y ancient books".

I don't think any of that sticks. That old back up exists while her real version is stuck in the chaos realm.

Actually if the Scarlet Witch were to become the new sorcerer supreme Wanda would probably be straight into the Avengers line up as Jason Aaron seems to be basing the line up after the Avengers 1,000,000 bc
I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

Why does the idea of her being Sorcerer Supreme feed into sequels to events when she wasn’t depicted very well?

I don't see it happening because she hasn't really been used well in recent comics but I wouldn't say never

I like Wanda and any positive development is welcome but I just don't think she has done all the "homework". But then my take on mutant powers is that they always take the short cut to plain old hard work and study. Who wouldn't like to have that? Sorcerers like Stephen and Victor have spent decades studying various works of arcana from the depths of Atlantis, various tomes from ancient times, etc. Doom lacks training from the Ancient One but did spend time with other past masters of the Dark Arts like Cagliostro and of course with Stephan in preparation for taking on Mephisto. He may have learned a few tricks from Morgan Le Fey but maybe that might not have anything to do with magic

I think their deaths are connected. I do not think Wanda is the Sorceress Supreme. I think Magik is at least for a time (she's said to be in the January solicits). Wanda was been teased as the Sorceress Supreme before and it didn't end up happening. Brother Voodoo ended up with the title. And just like that time, Wanda was indisposed at the time.

I don't think Wanda needs the title either. Her and Doctor Strange are more equals than anything in the magic world. Wanda doesn't need the promotion. She has her own decades of magic practice under her belt.

    She just needs better stories.

As far as movies, I don't think it's happening there either. Her stories will likely focus on her figuring out her powers for the time being. And hopefully getting her kids back.
