Default Which Marvel Superhero Team Has The Most Well-Written Origin Story?

Not asking who your favorite team is. Just want to know what the best group-coming-together story there is.

Not just looking for first-time team formations, but also team reformations.

Recommendations on specific team iterations are welcome.

Doesn't this have to be The Thunderbolts?

    Classic story, classic twist.

Definitely, these would be My Top (3) Three choices...

    1. The New F4 ('90s)

    2. Hearts of Darkness ('90s)

    3. The Midnight Sons (Classic)

The first story arc of the Ultimates (2002-2003), by Mark Millar and Brian Hitch. Pure gold, and nothing else comes even close.

Yes, totally. I was just thinking this! (Although the Fantastic Four origin is a classic, as well.)

Thunderbolts was a fresh and and innovative idea at the time, still would be if Marvel would give them another ongoing.

Indeed. Couldn't agree with you more. Truly ingenious (IMHO):

And it just kept getting better once Clint took over (LOL):
