According to Bleeding Cool, both issues of New Mutants which have already been solicited and scheduled for release in December and January have been pushed off by 2 months. It seems that the supply chain issues have been affecting the comic industry. But this means that the interminable Shadow King arc, which was finally, mercifully supposed to end in December, will now continue until February. And the Magik/Goblin queen story, which was supposed to kick off in January, will now only start in March.

I get it, but it's still extremely frustrating. New Mutants has already skipped multiple months this year, now to skip 2 months in a row before getting to the end of this arc which has been going on for a full year now is maddening. It's like the Shadow King is using his powers to ensure his story never ends. I really wish they could have just let the December issue come out on time even if the start of the next arc has to be delayed. It'll have taken nearly a year and a half by the time Vita Ayala's first story wraps up, and that's just ridiculous.
According to the report, it has to do with paper shortages, printing problems, distribution problems, ect, so it's not Ayala's fault. And it is affecting a bunch of other books. This may also be why we're still waiting to hear about the continuation or relaunch of other books.
