Dark Shadows. Anyone know which soap had a woman going undercover at an escort service and dressing up like Xenia for a client?

I never could get into THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, despite it having Lance Prentiss (John McCook) as Eric Forester. Maybe if it had been a direct spin-off of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS ("the young and the rest of us" I think Jeanne Cooper called it). I did watch it every now and then when characters from Genoa City went there--like Lauren who spent a good long time on that other show.

Lance Prentiss was involved with Lauralee Brooks (Jamie Lynn Bauer) on YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, which started out being all about the Brooks family and the Foster family (rich and poor). Then it just suddenly dumped most of those family members--mainly keeping Jill Foster and her mother--and switched to the Abbotts. I would have liked to see the Brooks family continue--they had a habit of breaking into song, especially Leslie Brooks. The patriarch of the Brooks family, Stuart, was played by Robert Colbert from TIME TUNNEL.

I generally can't stand these types of shows, but definitely was pulled into General Hospital during the "Luke and Laura" years of the early 80s. With stuff like the House of Cassidine and Robert Scorpio as characters it almost become a low budget spy series for a while.
Besides what other Soap has a top 40 song based on it?

"Shadow's of the Night" (Quentin's Theme) was a top ten single and even nominated for a Grammy. I bought that single at the time--on the flip side is "At the Blue Whale." This might be meaningless to most, but relevant to those who knew the ghost.

I feel like I answered this on another thread a few months ago…LOL. But I don’t mind repeating myself. My fave era was the early 80s. 1980-1982. Really that was the only era where I was a die-hard fan. I think it was the summer between 9th and 10th grade when I was really addicted. I would watch EDGE OF NIGHT, RYAN’S HOPE, ALL MY CHILDREN, ONE LIFE TO LIVE and GENERAL HOSPITAL—all the ABC soaps. At the time GH was my favorite, but in retrospect ALL MY CHILDREN is the one I think of most fondly. I can sum up the reason in two words: Erica Kane.

I had long since stopped watching soaps but one day in the 90s I woke up from a nap on the couch, clicked on the TV set and it just happened to be in the middle of the Daytime Emmy Awards. And it turned out to be the moment when Susan Lucci broke her 14-year losing streak and won an Emmy. I was super geeked for her.

Then 20 or so odd years later when I heard ALL MY CHILDREN had been canceled it really hurt my heart even though, as I said, I hadn’t watched the show in decades.

“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”

I only support the made of clay origin.

I just found out it's Xena, not Xenia!
