Magik: Magik, Storm and Illyna
Shadowcat: Kitty Pryde and Wolverine
80s Wolverine: Also Kitty Pryde and Wolverine
Colossus.
Mutant Massacre till going through The Siege Perilous.
Madrox all through Peter David’s use of him.
Possibly Madelyne building up to and in Inferno.
Nightcrawler: The Gift - A Classic X-Men back-up story.
Shadowcat: The Girls From Heck storyline from the OG Excalibur series.
Psylocke/Cap: Uncanny X-Men # 13.
Three favorite characters are one thing. When I have to pick an arc or story it changes.
Gambit: Paris arc in X-23 solo. Pretty much all of them are stellar in this arc. I just like how they all are trying to reach Laura and how vulnerable everyone is allowed to be. Even Logan when he thanks Remy for doing what he couldn't.
Logan: Death of Mariko. Best Logan arc for me. Never understood the allure of Jean&Logan when he had Mariko.
Kitty&Rachel: Early Alan Davis Excalibur. How I miss that Rachel. It just felt genuine.
Honarably mentions: X-man in his Shaman Era.
1) Madelyne Pryor in the Outback right up until Inferno, took her just another Candy Southern and gave her a personality, a depth and tragedy some of Claremont's best work
2) Alex Summers (Havok) Mutant X, gave Alex a chance to shine out of his brothers shadow in a book, earth, reality all his own
3) Bishop the early years I really loved him right as he became a X-man, the look the attitude, the issues with Gambit, during the Jim Lee/Portacio era. Favorite "modern/recent" addition to the X-verse if you can call it modern it has been a minute.
