If you've been a member since when Jonah owned the boards, you probably knew Greg as one of the moderators and columnists. He had been battling cancer for about a year, now. He fought like hell, but, sadly, he lost that battle earlier today.
Greg was a good guy. He loved comics, pulp novels, and science fiction/fantasy TV series. His columns were often about TV shows like Manimal, Automan, and Star Trek or books like Doc Savage and John Carter.
For years, he ran an after-school comic club for kids. They would set up each year at the Emerald City Comic Con and the kids would draw sketches and make art just like all the other guests and professionals. They even made a couple comics. A few years back, he picked up a convention-exclusive Star Wars comic for me. Didn't even hesitate when I asked him, despite his busy schedule and limited free time at the convention.
He was my friend, even if I never actually got to meet him in person.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help his wife and family.
