Early 90's on Christmas morning I had a stack of X-Men comics under the tree. It was the first six-seven parts of X-Cutioners Song and a couple others. Been hooked since and have a huge collection now (along with SpiderMan). X-Cutioners Song crossover has always been one of favorites.

At a camping holidays I was given extra pocket money and saw my first X- Men comic and bought it. I did read it over and over again that vacation. It was the issue where Wolverine and Nightcrawler fought Wendigo. It was the 4th issue of X-Men in my country and was in the early 80's.

Later I bought the earlier 3 issues and never stopped reading it. Later switched to the US imported issues and still do.

Favorites from the early days were Rogue, Wolverine and Angel. Hated Shadowcat from the first issue she appeared in. Later coming to love Cyclops, Sunspot, Storm and Cannonball

Shoot, I should have made room for Pryde of the X-Men, Spiderman, arcade/video games ... so many options!

Either it was the movies or 90s cartoon that introduced me to X-Men. But it was X-Men: Evolution that made me a life long fan.

Hell, it was so influential that it took me years to realize Wolverine was supposed to be much more popular than other X-Men.

So I was introduced to the X-Men via 90 cartoon.
I was introduced to comics by my best friend in my tweens.
    Played all the Games.
But did not start officially start reading comics until I was 19 living on my own. Was big on reading novels. I happen to at a no longer functional chain bookstore. And happen to see Giant Size Uncanny X-Men Essential Vol. 1 and I was like I love the X-MEN, let's pick this up. And since than been lurking forums and patronizing my LCBS.

When I would visit my older cousins up north, they had an army of comics and the X-Men got my attention. Then later in the 80s, "Pryde of the X-Men" would come on every Sunday morning and that did it. I didn't collect comics but when the animated series came in the 90s, I truly became an admirer.

Indeed. X-Men: Evolution gave me hope that Marvel finally could have a good animated series in this modern age we're living in...

An annoying friend from high school hadn't kept his mouth shut about how great the x-men comics are for an entire semester so at the end I caved in and went to comic store to pick a random x-men story. At that point the only comics I've read were F4/Doom centric so I didn't know much about the x-men. The story I picked was about Mojo sending the Agent to capture the x-babies from 616. Excalibur Mojo something I can't remember. To this day it remains one of the wackiest stories I've ever read in a good way.

I inherited comics from family members but didn't get into X-Men until I read annual 5 at a convenience store where I worked. A young fan told me about a nearby comic shop, and I was hooked.
