First mario and now garfield. Odd thing it's sony when nickelodeon owns garfield. You think it would be paramount.

Why not just animate garfield's judgement day? The classic va's did line for the full film. They just never animated it. (then again it was fox so disney may own it.)

It's utterly bizarre.

But its the same point I made in the Spider-man thread, Hollywood has a way of fixating on a particular group of actors. Then they start casting them in a ton of stuff...even when they don't really fit.

Very true, I remember a year in the early 2000's where it felt like Jude Law was in like every other film.

I don't mind Pratt voicing characters either but it gets to a point where you wonder whether his voice really fits.

Dunno about Pratt's casting. Can't really picture him fitting the character and Frank Welker already has not only been the go-to actor for the character, he has the performance down pat.

As a Gen-Xer, I can't imagine Garfield with any voice other than Lorenzo Music's.

Yeah, he basically defined what Garfield sounds like; Frank Welker's version in modern projects is basically a recreation of Music's performance.
