Thou shalt think outside the "ballot" box. Hey, I voted yesterday. Yay, me!

Anyway, two of these characters are running. That IS what was meant, right?

I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?

Here's mine now. Kinda fun choosing a handbook cover that had the most people actually running.

    Human Torch/Fantastic Four/She-Hulk/Disney Big Hero 6 /Tangled/G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero/Transformers G1 fanatic, Avatar-maker, and Marvel Moderator
    "一人じゃないから。" AI、『Story』。
    "ヒロ、お前を信じてる。" タダシ、『ベイマックス』。
"You were my my new dream." "And you were mine." Eugene Fitzherbert and Rapunzel.
    "Knowing is half the battle."

One of John Romita Sr.'s memorable ASM covers.

He was just seen as a joke and the attempt to push him with Spiderman in the first issue then he and Captain America fighting Crossbones just didnt work. Coupled with the fact he was clearly and rightfully seen by many as a gimmick character to hype the NFL brand more then the Marvel brand. I love Superpro and may be one of his biggest fans but there were a lot of issues with the series.
He did though have a controversy. The comic made a Native American villain, and the Native Americans didn't like it. It became the one issue everyone was interested in.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Someone already posted the Superman/Flash cover.

    But in the 90's.

Ok, it does say that on the cover. I swear they did a race earlier though. Apparently I simply can never remember the "good old days" or when they happened.

Paul Gulacy is my choice. This issue includes a rare Drax the Destroye backup with Thanos, written by Scott Edelman and beautifully drawn by Mike Zeck.

Remembering the great Jean Graton, who passed away this January at the age of 97. He did more than just car racing comics.
