To be honest, I'm surprised it took until yesterday for someone to post the cover to that epic graphic novel.
I think I did use it once but it was a while back. I usually keep the images of covers I used here in a special folder on my PC and that's where I store it. I almost used it again

Perhaps because it was #1 in a series of unrelated graphic novels.

Shalla Bal, because I used to read the Friday Foster strip in the Sunday funny pages and I didn't remember it had this comic book version

Shalla Bal 'cuz you know it's a good comic when the hero has an alliterative name.

Iron Maiden I loved that book.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

And then they gave it to Byrne who squandered it all and made a crap story.
