Default Favorite film starring or co-starring a singer or musical performer

Many singers (good and bad) have starred or co-starred in films attempting an acting career.

What is your favorite film that starred or co-starred a professional singer or musical performer?

NOTE: the film does not have to have singing in it. The singer can just play a character in the film.

Mine would probably be 9 To 5 co-starring Dolly Parton.

Oh I will go old school here. Quadrophenia- Sting. Granted it was a small role but still cool.

Not counting actors like Tony Leung who’ve had musical careers on the side, it’s probably Bowie in Labyrinth. Do Spinal Tap count?

Hmmp. If I'm going into the Vanity-verse I think it'd be Action Jackson over The Last Dragon for me too.

Shoutout to Sheila E. in Crush Grove though

For me it's Ray though, For several reasons.

Ha my fav JF song. With the same Director from Belly. Agreed Foxx took it to another level in Ray.

Smokey and the Bandit co-staring Jerry Reed. Jerry really only got into it because he was such a good friends with Burt Reynolds and would appear in his movies in small roles, but he was such a natural in front of the camera he ended up doing a lot of movie and TV work.

There are lots, but I'll say The Hunger, David Bowie. Smoldering.
