He's literally said the opposite multiple times. He just doesn't like her with Scott, which he's entitled to think.

I wonder if Doom colluded with Bastion's alliance just to effectively gauge what they're all about and if they could potentially threaten him. Then when Magneto makes his play Doom aids him anonymously ("Doom has done his part") while bowing out of the alliance, citing some convenient pretext.

I think Doom involvement basically begins and ends with wanting a seat at the table without being directly involved (because no one cuts Doom out of a cabal).
