Hard to say, since Disher is a pretty accomplished actress and could be a chameleon for all we know. The Simpsons actors have been doing their voices for over 30 years!

But yeah can't expect their voices to stay preserved forever. I mentioned this already, but Lenore Zann sounds pretty different as well to the point where it's almost caricature. Bummer as she's so sweet and it would have been heartbreaking to not include her.

I just watched the first 2 episodes of X-Men '97!

It's VERY good. The tone,dialogue, action scenes are all great. It respects the Claremont era comics while also doing new twists.


I love that the episodes are longer.
28 minutes without end credits.

Most of the voice acting is great, both old and new.

After 20 years of being treated like unwanted garbage in the live action films, Cyclops and Storm shine brightly in these 2 episodes.

Bishop's actor does a very different sort of performance that doesn't suit him.

Morph's powers have him assuming the abilities of those he changes into.



I will give an overall score after the season is done.
I normally wait till a whole season is uploaded to a streaming service,but this show is so good that it is worth watching piecemeal.
If you have any hesitation about watching,don't.

My only gripe in the two episodes is that Bishop reminds me of Roadblock, from the GIJOE cartoon.
So Magneto's powers allow him to touch Rogue interesting.

Bishop is definitely different, but I’d say we haven’t really seen anything of his character yet. In the old series he had the mullet and a goofy guitar riff played every time he appeared; not a bad thing though - Scott doing a genuine 90s “still down with the kids” Wayne’s World reference was absolute gold, so I could live with Bishop being a bit “ZZ Top on the set of Terminator 2”.

First two eps were so good, particularly ep 2. Magneto, Storm, Cyclops, and ‘Jean’ were all MVPs.

Just finished the first two episodes. Really interesting to have Magneto just come waltzing in and taking over the school. Did Chuck think so little of Scott?!

Also, I hope Storm doesn't stay depowered too long. I know they're kinda following the comics by doing this, but she's my fave and was looking forward to seeing her do her thing!
