I loved this.
"COURAGE, DON'T YOU DARE LET ME DOWN"

Just like every other superhero group, the X-men could solve global warming and the rest of climate change in minutes, but they can't because the world needs to be similar to the real world. So there was no way this plot was ever going to work regardless. But the solution was not "massacre blue collar worker and blow up an oil refinery". Her actions literally made the environment worse!
We got into an argument last week about whether Krakoa is liable for the damages Nature Girl is causing. If they weren't then (I still say yes) they absolutely are now. Its hard to get more liable than "we took her into custody OOOPS NEVERMIND!"
The fact some of them were so sympathetic to her is disgusting. What the ****, Kurt?
Was Gerry Duggan on some weird environmentalist kick? Not that it really came off very environmentalist friendly.
I just can't fathom the point of this arc.
Poor Lin. Eye Boy didn’t even get to say goodbye to his true love!
This does raise an interesting question. Krakoa has placed claim on policing mutants. So what happens when they sentence someone only for that sentence to be overturned and the convicted to be spirited away? Do they become free game or does the incompetence just continue?
They've been unclear with how much of the outside world knows about how Krakoa is governed. Do they know about the Pit? We're not even certain they know who all is on the Council.
To the outside world, it would look like this girl used Krakoa's teleporter network to go on a rampage. She was then whisked away by Krakao's agents after a major act of terrorism, and then shortly after they escort her off the island. This should absolutely look like Krakoa is supporting her terrorism.
Well the entire idea of having ubermachts who are genetically predetermined to one day supplant humanity, possessing incredible inherit power that are all the practical concerns about gun ownership x1,000,000, acting with near infinite resources and relative legal impunity, that shirk against any and all attempt to regulate said power, be the face of the marginalized was horribly ill conceived from it's inception... but here we are.
Context is king.
X-23's most basic surface level characteristic that any idiot should grasp: Stoicism.
I don't demand that her every minor appearance be a nuance in-depth examination of her character, but is it to much to ask she be written in Archetype?! This is storytelling 101! If you want people to stay invested in a character, you need to, at the bare minimum, write them such a way that they can plausibly be believed to be the same character!
I will admit, I am very curious on how do they plan to continue this, let alone outside of this very specific format if they choose to aknowledge it anywhere else.
