...but Professor X is in danger of wasting Sunfire's time when Sunfire loses patience while waiting for an explanation!

Sometime later, on the island Krakoa, Sunfire and Nightcrawler battle a group of angry birds.

Sunfire being a member of the super hero team X-Men in the comics was brief.
This is NOT to be so whenever the character makes his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
IMO Sunfire is to be an EXCELLENT candidate for the line-up of the MCU super hero team X-Men!

Sadly, Sunfire doesn't get to do much. But when he's allowed to, it can be rather eventful.

Marvel writers need to update Shiro Yoshida from some Japanese version of Steve Rogers avenging the defeat of Japan in World War II. Even though he was in Uncanny Avengers and Age of X-Man, a lot more could have been written to develop him.

But, I honestly think that his Age of Apocalypse costume and design was the better version of the character.

AoA Sunfire will always be the greatest version. So there .
But seriously, The mask on the original Sunfire costume has always reminded me of a duck bill.

During the '90s, I had a lot of enjoyment reading the satellite X-titles. But when it came to the main title (Lobdell's X-Men), I just couldn't connect with it.

However, I'm glad we share a love for Sunfire (no matter the costume).

I still hope some day we get a few stories that give more depth to his character too.

Shiro crying in AOA after Rogue saw his past is what made me want to know more about him. I feel like he could be such a cool character in X-Men because he has a lot of history with them, but it's all fairly surface level.

ha!...a friend of mine has been going through all the Uncanny/X-Men issues from the beginning and just got to the blue/gold era and asked me about Sunfire's 90's costume

I just told him, "We don't talk about Sunfire's high pony"

I've always been partial to Sunfire's Earth X look....I just loved his mask
