The fact is, acknowledging her hanging out with Luke on this show dilutes the story this show wants to tell about her carrying Anakin's legacy. She should know that Luke is carrying that legacy as well, but of course the answer's the same - she knows it intellectually, but she still needs to accept it. I get it for the sake of this narrative, but I feel an interesting story could have been told springing off her time with Luke rather than ignoring it. (although if the show finds a way to address this, then I will stand corrected)

Honestly I feel like this whole story takes place before BoBF/Mando season 3 even if it doesn't chronologically.

Well chronologically I think some people have pointed out the Rodian pilot was with Teva in Mando Season 3 which would make this event the most recent since the Rodian pilot bought it.

Anyways, I don't think Anakin's redemption factors into this that much. It was probably a separate weight lifted from her after the civil war, but the mere fact that he became Vader in the first place seems to be what still weighs on her, given he was her teacher and they grew up in the same war time. "If I really am everything that you are..." she chimes before Anakin cuts her off. I think her hesitancy before the vision was more about fearing that she would become a Darth Vader, and that all she had to offer a padawan if she became a teacher would be to lead them down the path to becoming a Darth Vader. That they have the ability to come back to the light is probably of limited consul, since, you know, you'd be as bad as Darth Vader for some amount of time.

That's how I see it too. The fact that Anakin eventually came back to the light (moments before dying) probably doesn't help Ahsoka all that much. I'm sure she's glad that her former master was able to find redemption before the end, that likely lifts a weight from her, but it probably does little to alleviate her concerns if her main worry is that she has the same flaws and failings because her master was Darth fucking Vader. If that were me, I wouldn't want to train anyone either. I'd fear passing those same flaws on to the next generation, and I'd wrap myself up in Jedi detachment too. Regardless of anything Luke says or does, or what happened to Vader right at the end, Ahsoka is the one who spent years training under him, learning from him, trying to emulate him...only to discover he was a monster. Ergo, is she a monster too? That question has probably been rattling around in her head for thirty years now.

Now you're making me envision Ahsoka as a Sith and I'm kind of into that .

How would you feel if the person you looked up to. That took you under their wing and you probably looked to as a father, slaughtered a bunch of kids and friends and millions/billions of people? Even if it's been 30-40 whatever years and even if you are a Jedi, seeing them will still F you up on way or another.

At the moment, it kinda makes more sense for her to visit with Luke after this experience. Who knows - maybe they'll do another retcon.

She might wind up stuck in the other galaxy, which would be a convenient way to explain why she wasn't there to help Luke & Rey (apart from of course, the force communication) later on.

Even better, perhaps maybe she'll find a new Jedi order in the other galaxy with Sabine, Ezra and Huyang that managed to avoid Snoke & Ren's purge of Luke's academy. Maybe even with Baylon and Shin as well.

Plus even a potential plot thread for the Rey movie with that. Rey's Jedi meets Ashoka's Jedi.

Jennifer Getzinger, best director so far made something out the writing she was given and the writing continues to make Sabine unlikable (to me). I'm intrigued with Thrawn's plans but It was icky seeing him work with the three fates of greek mythology.

I think it will be fitting for Ezra to be the one to show Sabine how selfish she is being. And she really needs a good scene to act out her feelings. Because she really is one note and not getting a good showing. Ezra finds out all his sacrifice and everything he did she risks everything to potentially allow Thrawn right back to threaten their Galaxy. He should chew her out.

And it would give her the chance to act out being left behind and him being all she has and she couldn't just leave him. I think she needs a deep acting scene to get her character on track.

Who’s the blue guy? That is not the Thrawn I remember. Maybe I misinterpreted him from Rebels and his books. Maybe I am missing something but taking over the Galaxy didn’t seem like his motivation. Maybe he’s playing the witches to get back home and then he’s just gonna leave and go home and say F ya’ll.
I’m sure I’m probably wrong in my interpretation but I really didn’t see him acting like this.

An episode of Ahsoka where Ahsoka is barely in it! Though Huyan doing the opening crawl intro for the first time in-series was quite the treat. I totally want the history of the Star Wars Universe as told by David Tennant.

"I'd prefer a room with a view" - how about a room with a refresher? Unless that just pops out.

    Purgirl lore! Night Sister lore!

Hey, if a Night Sister thinks of Sabine as a Jedi, that's got to be something, right!?

Lars Mikkleson strutting out there and making people realize that no one else could have every portrayed Thrawn in live-action. Just hearing that voice again is music to the ears.

I love how Thrawn's soldiers are probably one of the more artistic takes on Stormtrooper armor. The man can't help himself.

Is the gold guy (android) mean to be a fill-in for Ruch?

Well, so much for the theory of Thrawn and Ezra teaming-up. Seems like Ezra just straight up bailed when they ended up on this planet.

I'm really curious what Baylan's endgame is. Does he want to create his own order that actualizes the ideals of the Jedi but without the former Order's baggage?

Some Star Wars mounts really need to grow on you.

I was wondering if Sabine really needed a Lightsaber but I guess it is the most deadly weapon. A part of me still wants her to give it back to Ezra though.

How did these bandits end up on the planet? They seem to have some high-spec armor for bandits.

Ah, so this is the part of the Star Wars story where the cute and goofy natives show up.

EZRA!!! Man, it was nice to see him again. And he really felt like an older version of himself. It was great to see him and Sabine finally reunite. Although unsurprisingly she really doesn't want to let him know how badly she messed everything up just to find him or has possibly stranded them on this planet. But for now...good vibes!

Thrawn about to pull a Thrawn on Ahsoka.

Ezra's turned into one of those kooky Jedi with crazy robes. But he does have Jedi robes, basically. Kind of makes him look a little debonair...

So, presumably next week is Ahsoka (re)assembling the Jedi supergroup to take on the Blue Man Group in the battle of the bands. I look forward to seeing what Ezra can do in an action scene. New lightsaber, perhaps? Or will he get his old one back and we'll see Sabine go back to going full Mando?

Also really curious where they are going to go with this Sabine using the Force subplot. The obvious conclusion is that she learns the tough lessons from being selfish and ultimately grows enough to open herself to the Force. But part of me really wants to see her fail, and have to deal with that. Does she abandon her Jedi training altogether? Vow to become something new? I think there is more drama in that. But I'll still be fine if she does connect to the Force, provided it's well done in the end.
