Cyborg.
I really liked Cyborgirl....too bad almost nothing was done with her. What's wrong with you DC?
Mmm... Well.. Devastation was created for this sort of role. Technically she's 12 or so, but as a daughter of Cronus, she's functionally ageless. But... she doesn't really have the sort of outlook on life someone like Vandal or Circe would have.
Thing is.. in many ways... Batgirl and Nightwing already act as male/female doubles of each other.
Also they went and made a female Nightwing (Cheyenne Freemont) who was adequately sexy. Hmm... if they bring her back she could be a romantic interest for Dick.
Yeah... Koriand'r has a brother named Ryand'r. You know where THIS is going. Oh right he was never a major character.Noa male Starfire, as is, can still work, because she's so built with fanservice, being the innocent foreigner who kisses to understand language, wearing skimpy battle armor, has no qualms with nudity or polyamory, powered up by the sun, therefore, requiring to wear minimal clothing, you don't get that with Superman, being a swimsuit model as a job. Do we have male DC characters that have all those things? Dick is the closest but even his stint as a male model and stripper was temporary. Yeah, I want male Kori.
Generally speaking I don't have any characters I really am bleeding to see genderswapped. However, I do have this idea that they could have Jon turn out to be Cir-El pre-transition, and I think that'd be cool. Bring back Cir and make Jon more interesting in a single move. They'd never do it though.
"You know the deal, Metropolis. Treat people right or expect a visit from me."
A male Amazon who had been abandoned would be an interesting story.
Especially if he is in the modern world being a hero.
But feels that he doesn't fit in anywhere, because of being repudiated.
It is the Moses story of Exodus, but with a modern twist.
The question becomes which of the Amazon's would be his mother.

It could be any of the women, not Diana and not Hippolyta.
But you could imagine say a woman leaving Themyscira for a time.
She falls in love, has a baby boy. But has to return to Themyscira, although
she doesn't want to go. She places the child with friends of hers who perhaps
can't have children.
The boy grows up with his Amazon heritage secret. The parents when he is young
keep it to themselves as they are just unsure what the government might do.
But as he gets older his Amazon abilities become harder to hide: flight, endurance, tremendous strength.
They tell him the truth. He remains curious about his
Amazon heritage, but well there is nothing beyond what Man's World has in the popular culture.
It leaves him interested in the mother that he figures he will never know. But in time he
grows into a superhero, but with mixed feelings of how he fits into the world. Of course, even if
he could make it to Themyscira, he could never visit because men are not allowed to set foot
there on pain of death. But then one day this young superhero meets Wonder Woman.
That is one way I think the story could go.

I think they would still keep the same energy. Sexualizing female heroes is still very normalized. We can't have a Power Girl appearance without a boob joke or a Starfire appearance without some spotlight on Kory's free spirited nature.
I hate how accurate this is. Though knowing WB/DC they might not even adapt the character with a weak excuse like 'the character is too similar to BP'.Vixen - I feel like if Vixen was a man, she would've been seen as DC's answer to Black Panther and likely would've been pushed more. considering how much potential for growth and development Vixen has, that would probably mean a far more fleshed out niche for the character; and probably less fretting over their connection to The Red tbh.
Yeah, it would be interesting to see how a woman would view the passage of time and history. I think the closest we had to a character like that was Matt Wagner and Amy Reeder's Madame Xanadu series.
DC's Bombshells universe might be the closest DC has had to an all female led DCU.
Zachary is currently the only male hero to a female side kick that I can think of. Maybe if the Nu52 didn't wipe everything away we might have seen how he dealt with that.
As I recall, she was also a villain. Might make good foil for Vic.
Alkyone probably makes the most sense for that kind of plot. She is the closest the Amazons have to a Killmonger equivalent.
Batgirl & Robin: Thrillseeker Elseworlds has a female Joker. I highly recommend checking it out.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
