Best period writer ever, Roy Thomas through the JSA/All-Star Squadron in DC and the Invaders in Marvel, gave me one of my first views of World War II.

Not just an amazing writer, I had the immense pleasure of meeting Roy (and Dann) at DragonCon a couple of years ago. They are absolutely the sweetest, nicest people.

Definitely deserved this thread here. Roy was argueably as important to DC as he was to Marvel. His handling of Earth 2 and of the Shazam Family were groundbreaking. All-Star Squadron is still one of my favorite books ever.
