I like issues that focus on a single character - e.g. Wounded Wolf is one of the best X-Men issues ever.

Sounds like a decent issue. Are the Reavers, the Reavers from Marauders? Iceman Reavers not Wolverine Reavers. lol
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

Continue to love the way Duggan writes Lorna, and it's really refreshing to see a writer trying with Lorna. It was nice seeing Lorna flex her power here too. Blocking that radiation, and taking care of that reactor was nice. Also love the EM sight thing. A great reference to a feat Lorna's done in the past.

However, I do wish Duggan could have connected the way Lorna was feeling to her own character history. Williams had that problem too where she would just mention all these things Polaris was feeling, but it had no connection Lorna's journey as a character. Linking Lorna's personal experiences to explain why she's feeling the way she is would make this issue much stronger. I also wish her motivation was deeper.

As a big Polaris and Jean fan, I adored seeing them interacting in an actual significant way. Hopefully we continue to see these two get moments together.
I think suites her best as as it reads like "I know you need me" before self doubt crept in. Hence why jean said she needs the xmen as much as the xmen need her.

I'm disappointed lol.For a Lorna issue it was a very baseline issue, we don't see any of her past or even reasonings. The fighting is barebones, passable but not special.Laura is Logan 2.O(they really messed her stint as wolverine up).Rogue isn't even there, Scott and Shiro are just there.Jean is again the highlight.

And another filler issue w/ teases, please move on w/ the plot...

The art-work while not Laraz is good and the saving grace here

Could have been very interesting but wasn't.Duggan showing his writing skills or lack thereof

I also enjoyed Jean casually tossing the reaver into a dumpster.

I mean, that's two issues in a row now she is absent and she hasn't done much before that. She's the main reason I'm picking up this book after the disaster that was Excalibur. So actually I'm kind of getting annoyed now. At least Lorna had good usage in X-Factor.

Synch fans went almost 17 years with out him.

We won't talk about what New X-Men fans are dealing with in now year 12.

    Rogue fans should be fine.

    Fine, yes.

    Buying this book? No.

I miss the days when comics actually featured all the characters they advertised.

That was highly enjoyable. The first Duggan issue I really liked. (Yeah, now it reminds the guy who wrote the excellent Uncanny Avengers).

Lorna's personality is lighter than usual. But it works I didn't know how much I'd love funny Polaris.

Also, I'm totally invested in Dr Stasis and Urich's subplots.
