Forgive me if this was asked but I haven't read the whole thread yet. But what are some of your favorite storylines?

Mine were the Return of Frisco (the Domino story) in 89/90. The Return of Luke and Laura in 93 with Frank Smith. The Jonathan Paget Duke story. Almost EVERYTHING with Bill Eckert. Loved his story. Especially the Holly stuff. Oh and the return of the Cassadines in the 90's. Great stuff.

I was mostly an AMC/OLTL fan, I didn't really get into GH until, ironically, Maurice Benard came to the show. I was a fan of his portrayal of Nico Kelly on AMC, so I wanted to see how he'd fare once he came to GH. I say ironically because he got me into the show, I see the despicable character he's playing, now he's the lone aspect I hate about GH (that and the mob). This bi-polar/abuse/downward spiral storyline he's in is fascinating to watch, though, I will admit.

So for me...basically when the Cassadines came on the scene. Baby Lulu needed something that only a blood relative could give, Lucky wasn't a match, so Laura had to reveal when she was trapped on Cassadine island she had Stavros's son, Nikolas. Nikolas was a match, he saved Lulu, now the Cassadines were a permanent fixture going forward. That whole storyline, Nikolas and Stefan (Nikolas's uncle and guardian), was great.

Second would be Helena's introduction. Well, introduction as played by Constance Towers I should clarify.

I started watching in 1980 right when it exploded and loved the 80s - especially Robert and Holly.

But my 2 favorite storylines came in the 90s.

1. BJs heart. I know everyone talks about it but it was can't-miss every day. Writer Claire Labine gave us such a heartfelt story featuring so many of our favorite characters. I admit I never saw it coming until we heard about the school bus accident. And even then, I wondered if they would really go there. They did.

2. As Nate Grey said above, the re-introduction of the Cassasines. Stefan was a fascinating new character. And when a drool-worthy Tyler Christopher walked into the hospital as Nicholas, you could see on Luke's face that a new war was about to begin. And what a war it was.

I really wish Trina 1.0 could have stayed long enough to finish this storyline...I want to see this Trina finally win against Esme.

Make no mistake, I UNDERSTAND, school came when it did and GH probably wants to stretch this out to May Sweeps so she couldn't wait.

Just saying it would have been nice.

It also makes me wonder the last time this happened, a character was recast during a major storyline (not before or after)...

I feel like this sex tape story is going to be really dumb.

I missed most of it due to the confirmation hearing...but yeah, the only question is will she be Nelle's fraternal twin, or Nina's ONLY child, making Nell no relation to Nina (and therefore no grandparent rights claim will apply)? I think there's more mileage in getting to know her living/actual (since we don't know where they'll go) daughter than the whole grandparent's right thing.

I feel like this sex tape story is going to be really dumb.

Well GH loves to be consistent, so...

I'm guessing twin route.

And as for the other thing, I'd much rather they focus on the Cassadine storyline. Let's get back to some good gunplay action/espionage stuff! The characters involved could make a great storyline.

Yep, you are correct on both accounts.
The writing on this show has really fallen.
The Brook Lyn phony baby storyline was really dumb too.

And Liz drooling over Carly as the perfect mother was downright nauseating.

I'm kinda interested in the whole Marshall thing but they're taking their sweet time getting there. The pill bottle was a clue but, tired of clues, get on with it.

I'm interested in seeing Esme's plans (and parentage) exposed, this is taking a while too.

Nina and Willow finding out they're mother and daughter respectively, that's the only thing that seems to be going at a steady pace.

The rest...meh. I'm enjoying Selina Wu be herself though.

I didn't care for that, either. What's funny though is the scene in and of itself made sense: they're both in their late 40s, it wouldn't make sense to behave [toward each other] like they're still in their early twenties (the flashbacks). But to show that they didn't have make Liz a butt kisser. That was weird. Stagnant or newest Carly stan, no inbetween?

I'm taking a break until things get better. If that's even possible right now.

I'm leaning toward it myself. With slow-burn stories you have to have characters people care about to keep it going so the audience don't notice its taking its sweet time coming to a conclusion. The majority of characters on GH do not fit this description, and the few that do its in spite of the writing not because.

Favorite all-time character is Robert Scorpio
2nd Favorite Character though is Scotty, not sure who I prefer him with Lucy great history, kids and chemistry, Laura to address an ancient wrong (Scotty > Luke), and to be honest I am liking Liesel and Scotty but recently or lately Scotty is written more for laughs than seriously and while it shows off the character's range he isn't just a joke.

Well today's preview for tomorrow's episode could be a cool twist assuming they follow through. Curtis is going to ask Sonny for his help uncovering more info on Marshall's past, and Sonny looks like he'll say no ("No offense but why is it your business?").

The pills Marshall dropped...I forget the name but it treats a rang of symptoms including bipolar disorder. Despite Marshall's antagonism of Sonny, Sonny *may* protect him if he suspects his past involves dealing with a similar bipolar disorder Sonny suffers from.

As for today's ep...Curtis actually tried to emotionally blackmail Jordan into breaking a number of rules and protocols that could result in her termination if caught just to unseal Marshall's record. Glad she called him on that. I mean I like Curtis but he was dead wrong to do that.

This got me thinking...Curtis is spiraling and desperate to learn about Marshall's past. If Sonny says no...Selina Wu won't. He'll accept her casino proposition on the condition she uncovers any and everything on his father. I bet that's where they go next.
