I assume that is a river, too.

seismic-2 posted the first river-based cover feature that I thought of.

MRP because Matt Baker deserves all the praise one can give. I agree with Icct that this week I did not really love any of the covers.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

I go Tami and the ever wondrous River Song, but nods to icctrombone too, as that's a beautiful cover.

I do like many of the covers but they looked similar to each other and couldn't pick between them. I tried to choose something that was different looking.

I'm not saying they are bad, I liked a few, but as you said, nothing stood out.

Englehart Humperdinck 'cuz jumping a drawbridge, hanging out of an open door, and firing a gun is pretty cool.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape

    Tami
But Majorhoy was a close second.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
