Haven’t watched all of Inside Job - just the start - but did Ridley physically abuse his daughter, shoot her, cut her off from ALL social contact beyond himself, destroy her capacity for social contact, force her to fight people from the time she was about five, and try to mould her into a perfect killer from birth?
    Why are we here?

"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate

Not quite, Rand did cut Reagan off from any affection, built a robot to hug his daughter so he didn't have to, with said robot crashing through walls hug her whenever she was interacting with other children or going on dates, which messed her up to the point that she punches people who try to hug her. Also at junior prom Reagan said she was going with a man in his 30s (long story involving time travel and memories) and Rand did not care.

Also Rand wanted Reagan to skip grade school to become a child prodigy, but Reagan finally made a friend, so Rand rewrote her memories so she forgot that said friend existed and as a adult she is a genius with no social skills, who invents robots to solve her problems (making robot arms to hug people or making a robot boyfriend). Rand also sees Reagan as a pawn, wanting to use her to take over the shadowy company he was fired from.

…seems like we have an actual fight, here.

Bonus round: After comparing stories, what happens? Original Cain shoots Ridley dead before returning to his cell.

I wonder if Cass could relate to Reagan, Reagan has the same crippling over specialization Cass started with, only with science instead of martial arts. But Reagan working for an evil corporation that secretly runs the world could be a problem.

Like a fight between them would be one sided either way, Reagan is a physical push over who gets winded running up stairs, Cass could just kick while she tries to run away or attack with whatever devices she has on hand. With prep time Reagan shows up in some giant mech and Cass has to hope that Reagan didn't get enough sleep while building it and collapses from exhaustion, which might happen right after she defeats Cass.

In remindedd of Agatha Heterodyne, or more accurately, of her mother Lucrezia Mongfish, of Girl Genius, who imprinted her mind on her infant daughter in order to hijack her body when her superhuman genius started activating, to the point where her paternal uncle had to create a broach that grave her splitting migraines whenever she started thinking too much in order to protect her, and is still trying to take her over while also committing atrocities all over Europa.
