I guess they could do Star Wars and Dinosaurs, but it does happen a long time ago.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Star Wars is so great to me because of the crazy aliens and planets. I enjoy the fact that it is so far removed from Earth and our world. It is a great escape and I dont want that ruined at all.

I hope never. There is simply no need for the Star Wars universe to intersect with ours. Not only that, but the laws of physics are clearly different in the Star Wars universe than our universe.

Here is a Star Wars video I made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRPF_DXZ3bA

Apparently they kind of toyed a bit with the concept in some novels from the 90's.

I like to think that Star Wars took place a LONG time ago. While Humans were all over the place in that far away Galaxy, here on Earth, Humans still hadn't emerged yet...
