Perhaps it was more that Ali was forced to have a show so that people remembered who she was, that it wasn't a show for a new album but just her old stuff, or the fact that the show got interrupted by the fight or something but I doubt that Alex was being overly mean to her...

Huh? This doesn’t make much sense. It doesn’t matter what kind of show it was. The implication was that it was awful which isn’t meant to be taken any other way but negative

I said overly not overtly...it was basically an appearance so that people didn't forget that she was still around rather than being really in demand and having a new album to promote and such...

I still dont get why her intention matters? Whether she was promoting a new album or trying to be forgotten, Alex basically said her sh-t sucks. It that supposed to soften the blow to look at it as her trying to remain relevant with an awful performance? Theres no way to spin this into something good and you arent really doing it any favors

She had the right intentions, meant well, and was on point, for the most part. But she definitely didn't use any kid gloves in her delivery, that's for sure.

Trying not to be forgotten is what I said, no Alex only said that he didn't like the show...

I thought his comments were in reference to the show's attendance, or lack thereof as it were, not her actual performance or music. The low turnout dis was hit on again, during the barroom scenes' newscast.
