Weirdly backloaded schedule, though technically Alpha really should be considered an April release, since it's a fifth week thing. I'm also pretty annoyed that there's like a two week gap in publication in the middle of both months, because they have Robin and Deathstroke releasing the same day - seems like a bad choice to me, but schedulling is schedulling.

I only have Batman on my pull list, which means I get two issues of this storyline. Anyone know if I HAVE to pick up the other parts for the two Bat books to make sense or can I just stick with what I got?

Well, I'm pretty sure that Shadow War, since it's all by Williamson, is all going to be one big story, with the exception of Shadow War Zone, which is an anthology of short stories by various authors. Like Joker War Zone, I doubt that's going to be necessary, but it will likely be quite fun!

Apparently, Williamson doesn't know the difference between hundreds and thousands of years. Unless he thinks Ra's Al Ghul is Vandal Savage? That would at least explain the recent characterisation.
I don't know why everyone is so upset, Ra's' ghost can always inhabit the body of another heretofore unmentioned child as per "The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul". Lol.

"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"
"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"
"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."
Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!
Are Shadow War and Flashpoint Beyond supposed to intersect?
