Many people have said that Diana needs her own All Star Superman / The Dark Knight Returns.

These are two very different stories obviously. ASS is about a Superman at his prime that explores all the crazy and beautiful sides of his adventures and then finishes his story as a folk hero. It was above all else an homage to the silver age

TDKR is about the tragedy of Bruce Wayne where he ultimately didn't do much to better the world but gets a final chance to set his mark and start a movement in his old age. It was more of an homage to the Golden Age.

What do you think Wonder Woman's version of this would look like?

I think Earth One is the closest thing she has to her own ASS, even if the story itself is a mixed bag.

I think Earth One is the closest thing she has to her own ASS, even if the story itself is a mixed bag.

It is the closest in the sense that it shows us the distant future of Diana. But it only explores a few aspects of the character: Themyscira, Nazis, Holliday Girls, Doctor Psycho, Greek Myth, and Queen Desira. It did introduce that interesting idea of Diana "giving birth" to her own mother, which is interesting to a degree. But it also failed to give us a proper characterization of Diana and we missed out on so many other areas of her world.

One of the great things about these "Final Days" miniseries is that it could give us all of the development and history we missed out on over the decades with all the reboots and restarts and abandoned growth.
