I loved this dialogue because it shows that sometimes you need to stop being hero to let people know your importance. If you are there always people will take you for granted.

I still adore the "Yes, father, I will become a bat." All the way from the 40s, through Denny O'Neil's powerful retelling in the 70s, to Frank Miller's perfect crystallization in Year One. The line gives me so many shivers.
