Spider-man 2099 is Back!

finished it off as I'm in between gigs and have the free time. Yeah it picked up a bit, some nice action sequences as we approached the end.

Miguel gets a nice happy reset button by the end of the story, Morlun is suitably imposing, Ghost Spider is there. The 2099 inclusion was still mostly superfluous, it could basically have been any not-Peter Spider-Man in this position, but I think what helps with it being 2099 is that Anya already has another older mentor figure named Miguel in her life that they can draw parallels to. Also, like, not complaining about more 2099 representation hehe, just saying I would have liked it to be better utilized.

Blade is an interesting character, intrigued to see more of him. Flipside being in this was spoiled last issue, but I nearly did a spit-take when we see him and his design is based on the All New white suit from PAD's last run haha! Jack being back was also wild. Given his time travelling shenanigans, I wonder if he's the original timeline's Jack or a new one... We also get SW's full name, Sivern Dru. Nice, really liking her character. Really liking this so far, there's been an equal mix of new introductions and callbacks to classic 2099 stuff, while also presenting us a nice story that does a good job feeling like a continuation of what was laid down in the Amazing 2099 Companion and Exodus.
