It's coming out in April. There have been multiple delays since the first announcement and now the previous issue, issue 24, isn't coming out until February.

New Mutants #25 is coming out on March 9 so it's still considered Reign of X era, still drawn by Rod Reis.

Destiny of X era will only start from Immortal X-Men #1 on March 30. That's the aftermath of Inferno.

New Mutants #26 is the real starting point for Destiny of X era with a new artist since Rod Reis is leaving.

We will know for sure when New Mutants #26 cover comes out.

Well, that might be wrong too https://prhcomics.com/book/?isbn=75960609471402511 but I think the point being that this book being originally solicited for January makes it being Destiny of X book a bit of a stretch.

Immortal Xmen has been stated to be the first book of the new Destiny of X era, so with that being said every book that comes after Immortal should be officially apart of the new era.

I suppose the reason for someone trying to make such a distinction is necessary to determine whether 'officially' matters, or conversely does being in the Destiny of X era have any practical effect?

Probably not, especially because we know a lot of books aren’t really changing that much and will likely address line wide changes in their own time (if at all).

I don't think it's that. Hickman is great at world building but he isn't that great at interpersonal relationships. With all these mutants coming back from the dead, a lot of the emotional beats were ignored.
