I keep thinking about how he chose to live the last year of his life - so openly, so candidly, and so positively. It's inspiring to see someone embrace an inevitability with such spirit, to enjoy the last few months of one's life as much as possible.

RIP Perez, who knows where all these characters would be without you and your amazing work.

We already have the answer to that. In the majority of WW material after the George Perez era. This man gave new life to WW and her world. And it's so sad how DC continued to ignore it in favor of poorly writen material that they continue to give WW more often than not. Imagine if all writers kept on building upon what Perez had already established. Things would be way different now in Diana's paradise.

Rest in peace and condolences to his family. His work turned characters into pop culture icons.
