I do love the show, but I just hope it remains high quality throughout. Shows often linger for too long and later seasons can sometimes end up being sub-par. While I am excited for the prospect of more material, here's to hoping it's worth while.
If nothing else, more Tyler and Bitsie is a good thing.
And since I like Hoechlin more than Cavill, I'd say heck yes.
“Look, you can’t put the Superman #77s with the #200s. They haven’t even discovered Red Kryptonite yet. And you can’t put the #98s with the #300s, Lori Lemaris hasn’t even been introduced.” — Sam
“Where the hell are you from? Krypton?” — Edgar Frog
Really like this photo and the look of the suit but for the reds which could be a bit brighter. Also, the 5 o'clock shadow is an issue. Supes should be clean shaven - let Clark have the stubble.

Stargirl ends with S3, decision not yet made on S&L
I’m still expecting S&L to keep running until MoS2 is ready for release, but it wouldn’t be a shocker if S3 was the final season based on the plans the new execs have for the CW.It’s expected that more shows will come to an end after the move. Decisions are still to come on All American, which is in its fifth season, spin-off All American: Homecoming, which is in its second season, Walker, which is in its third season, Superman & Lois, which is going in to its third season, and Kung Fu, which is also in its third season. Walker: Independence and Supernatural spin-off The Winchesters are in their first season, while Two Sentence Horror Stories, which ended its third season in February, has not been renewed or canceled.

My guess is that once CW is sold, most of the old lineup goes with it. Including anything DC related. I give S&L four seasons.
Assassinate Putin!
I think Zaslav would let it keep running because it’s the exact kind of setup he wants: they licensed out the IP, outsourcing the costs to someone else, but still reaping the rewards because they get to throw it on HBO Max once the season ends. Not sure the new Nexstar management wants to continue that setup.

Details on the new Nexstar regime running CW
TL/DR they say they want S&L to continue but they also are out to cut costs.

Not sure how true this is, some of it lines up with what I’ve heard elsewhere, but other parts might just be wishful optimism. In the UK the BBC picked up S&L one of if not the biggest channel here! For $$ but it wasn’t just by season. Looking to bulk up the BBCIplayer they looked to compete with the likes of DisneyPlus!
A deal was reached after Season 1 success for 3 more! Which would be seasons 2-4! So regardless of what happens we’ll definitely get a 4th.

SAL has a natural narrative endpoint: Jordan and Jonathan graduating high school and each going on to the next phase of their lives away from Superman And Lois.
They started Season 1 in 9th grade / HS freshmen.
Season 2 was their sophomore year.
Season 3 should be their junior year.
Season 4 should be the twins' senior year and the show concludes with their graduation.
4 seasons would be a great run.
