I was just about to say this. A live action Streets of Rage would be a great 90's action movie throwback.

So Robotnik now has Chaos Powers. Okay.

Knuckles would take pride in being an Echidna Warrior...although if he knows that much, I wonder about his backstory here. I think gamewise he initially didn't know anything about his culture or why he was supposed to be guarding the Master Emerald until Adventure. This does feel like an early version of Knuckles before he mellowed out.

I love how Robotnik calls him "Hedgehog."

They're really emphasizing Sonic vs Knuckles which tells me they're saving a lot from the Death Egg Robot fight, like Knuckles obviously teaming up with Sonic and Tails or possibly Super Sonic.

Nice. Just as infectious as "Speed Me Up" from the first movie. Maybe even better.

I admit I'm a bit jealous. I would have loved getting movies of this caliber on Mario as a kid, but instead we got some weird unwatchable mess with actors that were clearly phoning it in.

Still, for all you Sonic kids, I'm happy for this love letter to your childhood.

Hopefully the Illumination Mario movie, random as the casting seems to be, will do the property justice.

I'm surprised we didn't have a Zelda movie before now. Seems it would be easier to do than Mario.

Anyone remember this? For an April's Fool stunt it was pretty good, imagine one with actual studio backing.
