We won't be seeing this game for a long time. Quantic Dream is having a difficult time hiring staff for the game so it's being delayed to 2027-2028

I guess it seemed ambitious enough to take that long to develop given everything they seem to want in it, although I understand why no one wants to work at Quantic Dream right now.

If LFL still wants to keep this project alive the best course of action would be to hand it off to another studio. Supermassive games would be a good studio to move it to if a interactive movie is what they want.

Apparently we’ll be getting news about the game at Star Wars Celebration as part of the High Republic panel. Might just be an update on schedules and a look at one of the playable characters rather than a full breakdown or some gameplay, but we’ll have to see.

I was half-expecting it'd been canceled...

That’s honestly the concern I have had with most Star Wars games. Eclipse is taking a lot longer to complete and that’s partly from a lack of new talent at the studio due to their history of being a toxic work environment, especially with women. Then KOTOR remake is basically having to start from scratch after issues with the original developers, and finally Ubisoft’s Star Wars game is also a ways away since the same team has to complete Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora first (which also has little to no idea of release date) and Ubisoft has also been quite the hotbed of controversy too and might well be another studio purchase at this rate.

That only leaves Respawn’s projects post Survivor (FPS Jedi spin off, RTS game and presumably a full Jedi sequel) and whatever Amy Hennig’s team is working on for Star Wars alongside that Captain America/Black Panther game. Almost feels like the movies and games are competing for how many projects they can announce that never happen…
