That trailer made me wish Gotham never ended. Batman didn't need a Riverdale
This feels CW being in desperation act for more ratings and keeping doing more DC Comics based shows on a shoestring budget in case of their innevitable buyout when both WB / Paramount are done with the channel.
There's pretty much *nothing* in that trailer that would make me think "Bat".
This seems outright CW/DC parody.
I think that some day, when the DC characters have joined the likes of Charlton and Gold Key as pop culture museum pieces, it will be revealed that Greg Berlanti was actually working for Disney/Marvel the entire time... I have this vision of Greg laughing and ‘It Was Agatha All Along’ playing loudly, mockingly...
I have a feeling that the OC dude might literally be the result of them finding any and all other male Batcharacters too interesting on a conceptual basis.
They just want some rich handsome “Everydude” so bad they can’t even think beyond that.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?
I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP
They should've just gone with We are Robin if they want teen civilian main cast.
Similar concept, you can use We Are Robin cast AND this cast, since We Are Robin has unlimited kids of any background, won't make a difference, and if they're shy about uniform, just wear red jacket and hoodie with an R on it. You're halfway there.
The new adopted son of Bruce Wayne can just be Duke. He's not being used anywhere as a lead except Bat-wheels and even if he's not adopted in the comic, just add it in, it's close enough.
