    Lightbulb X-Books Awards voting 2021

"Another year has almost come and gone for Marvel’s mightiest mutants, and through there were debuts, deaths and stories told. Writers and artists both brought their best, and sometimes, their not-so-best to the table, and now it’s your chance to vote for your most (and least) favorites of 2021!

    X-Books voting 2021

In the early days this was done by worstblogever, but as off 2016 he gave me his blessing to take it over.

    Voting Rules:
    • Let us not start debating each-others votes, or how much we liked or dislikes everything, there are many other threads in which we can debate. Let us just vote.
    • When you miss a name/title, simply vote for them and they will be added to the overviews. No use to ask them being added, that will only happen when someone voted for them.
    • For any category, you can allocate a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place candidate for any award. 1st place nods are worth 4 points, 2nd place two points and 3rd place receives 1 point. You will have to nominate 3 per category to make your vote count. If you only submit one candidate, they will not get full scores.
    • Please remember, if you insist on posting images of the covers, rather than just stating the issue number of the cover you’re nominating, that CBR only allows 4 images per post).
    • When it comes time to vote, just reply to this post, delete out this opening part, and fill in the ballot below under “Categories”. Or, copy and paste the category parts below.
    • In case totals will be the same, once the voting ended, the amount first place votes will be used as a tiebreaker, should there be one.

For each of the categories: If you have more suggestions, please do not discuss in this thread. Just vote for them and I will update the nominees/suggestions lists."

Not your general favorites, but the ones that were the best of 2021!
Who deserves to be voted hero of this year? Who were your favorite heroes of this year? Who played their roles really well this year? Was it one of the Captains or Counsil members of the Krakoa, those who created Planet Arakko, or the X-Men who finally appeared in an X-title since years, or is it one of those members who got a solo book out this year? It's up to you.

    Comeback of the Year
This category was introduced last year. Pick three characters/teams who had their first appearance since years! Who came back from the land of the dead or comic-book-limbo that you were most happy about? One rule, they had to be gone for at least a year. I will add other candidates to the list when they received votes.

    Cable (the real deal)

    Breakout Star of the Year
Choose three characters who are long time X-characters who you feel made the jump from the C or D-List, to the forefront, skirting the edge of, had exciting focus, or development, or possibly joining the ranks of the A-List of Marvel’s Mutants. Think Black Tom, or Cypher last year. Please mind that A-listers don't break out, they are suppose to be front and center. Who gets the Rising Star Award this year?

Please Note: A character returning from death or limbo, should be in the Comeback category.

    Suggestions:
    Abigail Brand
    Cypher
    Daken
    Eyeboy
    Greycrow
    Kwannon
    Manifold
    Monet
    Nanny
    Nature Girl
    Omega Sentinel Karima
    Phoebe (Cuckoos) solo in X-Force
    Polaris
    Prodigy
    Rubber Maid
    Scout
    Shatterstar
    Sunfire
    Synch
    Tempo
    Wiz-Kid

    Debut Character of the Year
Choose three characters who had their first appearance in a comic book in 2021, that you feel as a result, have a big future in the X-verse. Did the new kids of Children of the Atom make a great debut, or did you prefer one of the newly introduces Arakko mutants? If you have other nominees, just vote for them and I will add them to this list.

    Nominees
    Cherub (CotA)
    Curse
    Cyclops-Lass (aka Cy-Lass, CotA)
D-Cell (Juggernaut mini and Unltd. Paradise Lost)
    Daycrawler (CotA)
    Galura
    Gimmick (CotA)
    Harrower (Curse of the Man-Thing)
    Khora of the Burning Heart

    Guest Star of the Year
The X-Men do have sometimes some guest appearances from Marvel heroes and villains from other corners of the Marvel Universe. They might socialize with them, or fight with or against the X-Men. Some Suggestions
    Black Mamba (Green X-Men)
    Captain America (Hellfire Gala)
    Doc Strange (Hellfire Gala)
    Doom (Hellfire Gala and SWORD)
    Guardian - Mac Hudson (SWORD)
    Hulklin (SWORD)
Iron-Man, Cap A and Cap M in CotA
    Mr. Fantastic (Hellfire Gala)
    Nova Prime (Richard Rider) (SWORD)
    Quicksilver (ToM)
    Scarlet Witch (SWORD, X-Factor, ToM)
    Speed (X-Factor, ToM)
    Star-Lord (SWORD)
    Thing (Hellfire Gala and X-Men)
    Wiccan (ToM)
