Mora draws an amazing Superman.

Oh man I just realized, the “Justice Gang” rumor from Bleeding Cool is probably referring to “Task Force 7”. Ultraman is supposedly on this team, the Earth 3 Ultraman I assume. Waid wrote Ultraman as kind of a test run for his Plutonian in Irredemable, it would be very cool to see him write Ultraman now. None of the Crime Syndicate other than Owlman has ever been “great”, Waid getting the chance to flesh Ultraman out would be welcome. So far, only the following titles have been announced by DC. All are written by Mark Waid.

Earth 3 gets killed off all the time, they always come back. A post Irredeemable Waid potentially writing an evil Superman intrigus me, especially given how popular the archetype is in pop culture right now. I liked his Ultraman in TBATB:
But man I would love an Ultraman that is as terrifying as Plutonian:
Waid can honestly put Taylor and Ennis to shame in the edge department when he wants to, Ultraman let’s him scratch that itch.

Oh hey if Waid is doing the summer event he has to be the one to address the evil Composite right?
Fitting given that character exists because Dan Mora finally made the Composite merger look badass.

My bad editing my comment. I had misread what you wrote. Going to leave this part in about the New Gods. -- Also to explain changes in the New Gods like how they appeared during the New 52 check out Geoff Thorne's Green Lantern run. He has a great series of annotations about this for free up on his Patreon. just search for green lantern there. https://www.patreon.com/winterman/posts
