Is that the Post-Crisis Kryptonian Warsuit next to Starro?

Yep. We got the Post Crisis war suit and the Pre Crisis Kandor right next to each other, pretty good example of how “everything matters” works.

Noticed waid brought back Hypertime. I guess David is from some Hypertime line, maybe even one from Earth 0 divergences.

Another EPIC issue by Waid, Mora and crew! So many great moments but my favorite has to be the Teen Titans splash page. I love Mora's update on all of their costumes just like his take on the classic Doom Patrol team. I would kill to see him update the rest of the Teen Titans like Mal and Karen. One can dream...

We also got possibly the first modern version (outside of All Star Superman) of Pre-Crisis Kandor scientist Kimda.

No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

Dick Grayson, along with Dan Mora, continue to be the MVPs of this book.

The sheer joy of Robin riding on Superman's shoulders was perfect.

Sure was! I'd add to that the scene where Robin name drops him as Superman to David. "He's being modest. We call him Superman." And for extra credit laughs, "Brooding guy over there is Batman."

Of all the stellar dialogue in this issue (as per usual), think my fave is Supes dropping the, "Oh shut up, Jack" line. Loved it.

Sidebar note: the cover of my copy lists Moore as the artist. Anyone else?

The ending brought me some Morrison's JLA nostalgia.

Fitting, given Waid wrote fill ins for that run. I don’t recognize the guy Key was torturing however.

Maybe it's a character from Gotham?

About issue 6; I’m pretty sure male lions have the mane, not female.

There are case of lionesses with mane. It is uncommon but not strange.
Or could be than the lion was neutered and calling him girl was a way to torture the poor animal.
Or it was a lion with gender identity issues.
Or could be, only could be, than Dan More made a mistake and he draw a male lion when he had to draw a lioness.
That or maybe it was hypertime...

Knowing Waid it’s probably an obscure Silver Age character who appeared in one panel
