I'm not wild about the Super marriage, but Waid's reasoning about it is pretty silly.

Pete and MJ is even worse, because that marriage I'm actually a fan of. And Pete being a loser who has no joy in his life sounds like the worst character to read about.



The original Kara was depicted as stronger than Diana though. This isn't really a dig on her, just an accurate assessment of where they stood.

Kryptonians being depicted as stronger than Amazons or Greek demigods has been pretty standard I feel like. So Kara being stronger than Diana is fine, but Diana has far greater fighting experience. Just because you can punch harder or lift more weight doesn't mean you will always win a fight.

WW is far above normal amnazons and she is not a dsimple demi God either. She has better feats than Supergirl and should never be weaker than supergirl.

I didn't grow up with pre-Crisis Supergirl and Wonder Woman but I know after Supergirl came back in the 2000s her power level fluctuated depending on which WW cahracter the writer wanted to pair her with like with Cassie in Amazons Attack and Donna in the pre-New 52 Justice League.

As for the marriage Priest is giving it trouble in his Lost story and people don't like it (I do) so readers need to make up their mind.

Golden Age Wonder Woman's greatest cited feat, pulling the sun, also didn't happen within that story itself. It was towed by the Invisible Plane.

The comic says they were in the same class. But WW didn't want to fight at first. So pg only had an edge at first because of that. The writer herself said so.

Poor supergirl. The only time she was stronger was when they nerfed Diana's power. Let her have that one hit wonder moment from 50 years ago. There is more than 80 years of history and feats for WW. And for the majority of her history. She has been stronger.
