If they were to do a serious "Zorro, the Gay Blade" I would be so fascinated to see what they do with it! I don't expect the same foppish alter ego, but there's a lot to play with for a tv show, for sure.

In for it, sure. Wilmer seems enthusiastic about it and as mentioned before, there will be some telenovela elements in there. Perhaps there will be some social commentary too. 19th century California could certainly resonate with many themes of today.

Just hoping the sword fighting is on point (no pun intended). Love fencing training scenes.

(Of course the CW is going to green light something like this)

There's like 3 or 4 that have been in the works for awhile

I always wanted a third movie with Antonio Banderras back in the early 2000s. I really enjoy those two films.

I'll try this with Wilmer if it gets made. The CW network being sold and all the talk of scraping original programming makes me think the project is dead before it can really get started...at least at CW.

I've like Valderrama in NCIS. Good mix of fun and action from him. So I'll certainly keep an eye this.

At 42, Wilmer Valderrama is way too old to play Zorro in an origin story.

How so? Zerro can be however old the movie wants him to be or says he is.

I guess I'll be choosing Prime Video's El Zorro with Miguel Bernardeau over Wilmer Valderrama Disney's version.

Antonio Banderas was 38 when Mask of Zorro was released.

    Balderdash to that prior assertion.

According to Bob Kane himself....he used Zorro and The Phantom as foundational creative inspiration to create Batman.

38 years is still FOUR YEARS YOUNGER than 42.
