I don’t think that was ever in doubt. This was supposed to be an X-factor arc before it became an event, then they grabbed a last story’s title for nostalgia factor like with Inferno. Honestly, I want it made a universal cosmic rule that if they keep on reusing their comic event names from the past, the next one must be Mutant Massacre.

I think you got it. It really would explain the trace metals and i believe mercury is immune to magical attacks for the most part. It would also explain inside her brain and the murderous moment she had when her and Loa connected in Legion mind.

I think she's the one who can make herself as thin as paper (2D ability?) and slip through narrow openings. She was killed by the original Marauders in "Mutant Massacre" but has been shown as background in Krakoa (resurrected).

She is and her attempt to escape was so sad. Of all the other young morlocks she had been with were killed by The OG Marauders cept Tommy and her BF. And she almost got away

it would definitely make the most sense but on the flip i hope the killer is someone who has actually appeared in the series, lol. maybe mercury appeared in some back ground but now i'm fullly expecting some appear out of the blue and "this is why it happened." moment.
