Since this is being said by Druig and he is currently working with Thanos i wonder if he could possibly be manipulating things so that the Eternals face off against the mutants for whatever reason.

Well I always found it curious that the Celestials did the Eternals and Deviants and the mutants and they weren't tied together. Not that they necessarily have to be but I'm not all together against it either. As long as it isn't used to just take a big dump on the X-Men, which I concede is entirely possible lol. It makes me think it's kind of the reverse of what Ultimate did, which is have Xorn and Zorn be the "parents" of the Ultimate eternals and deviants.

Were the mutants always described as deviants? I think so

Well, for a given definition of how "heroic" the current Eternals are.

It'll only be a real hero vs hero event if the X-Men and Avengers have to fight.

I think in X-Men first to last no? They were described as deviants

I want to see Exodus telepathically smack down Thena and Sersi again

Idk if they were ever called Deviants but, they are pretty similar to deviants tbh

I don't believe the X-Men were ever described as capital "D" Deviants. The word "deviant" as a slur, maybe, but not the actual "created by the Celestials" Deviants.

Heroes, Both? Hmm, Doubtful. I think the conclusion of this event is the destruction of the resurrection tech

Is that even a possibility anymore? The Cerebro tech can be rebuilt and it doesn't matter if they lose backups because of Wanda's spell. I think at least half of the Five have potential replacements, so you'd probably have to kill off all of them at once.

Druig is literally Thanos’ right hand man atm, and all the heroic Eternals are either defected to Lemuria, prisoners or excluded.

Olympia and Polaria moving against Krakoa is far from hero v hero

So just flicked through it. The Eternals made a distinct difference between mutants and deviants and humans. Also there was no issue in Eternals 6 IRRC from the SFX era

More likely it is the resurrection tech revealed to the world.
