Looks... interesting
I really hope this delivers on all 3 of these characters
You now remember how much Hood was attempted to be pushed as a "big deal" during the Bendis years
Discovering/CONFESSING! the nature of evil... one retcon at a time.
Considering where things left off with the Hood after Hawkeye: Freefall . . . this should be interesting.
The spider is always on the hunt.
As he's wont to do.
I'll try to put it in perspective by giving a quick summary in his own style.
"We've got to hide the Infinity Gems."
"We always do."
"From a threat."
"A threat."
"Parker Robbins."
"Don't know the name."
"The Hood."
"The 'Hood'."
"The Hood."
"Doesn't sound very threatening, honestly."
"That's where he gets you. You let your guard down--"
"He's literally called 'The Hood'."
"He's the Kingpin--"
"Pretty sure that's not what he looks like--"
"--of supervillains."
"Kingpin of Supervillains."
"He is."
"And he's gunning... for the infinity gems."
"That's right."
"Sounds above his pay grade--"
"You keep paying attention to his title--"
"Is it a title, or an identity?"
"--to his title, and he might just steal around half of these things."
"It's a title."
"And he means business."
It was some 4 or 6 years of this which culminated with said infinity gem heist. Also, the great thing about Bendispeak is that you'll ask "who are the two characters talking to each other?" and ANY answer is no worse for wear than the other, which range from "Captain America and Iron Man" to "Storm and Thanos".

I expected a "Title?" or "Title? Whose title?" at the end, just so "The Hood" can be repeated a few more times.
Or if it's even two characters, it could be anywhere from one guy talking to himself, to fifty characters talking, and it can be hard to tell regardless. It was some 4 or 6 years of this which culminated with said infinity gem heist. Also man, first that King Dread Chronicles that emulated the convolutedness that was Kindred's arc, now this, you have a knack for impersonating disasters, and I mean this on the nicest way possible.
I love that one chick staring at her too .
(Honest I half-expect Felicia is visiting him personally to rile up MJ and seduce him).
Parker Robbins looks so generic. I mean, he looks generic even with The Hood, but now he looks doubly generic and sleazy. So much that nobody recognizes him without the Hood.
You do have to wonder what goes into someone's head thinking the Black Cat cares about some random former photographer who is also dating a "moderately famous" actress. Also, I guess moderately famous fits well enough.
So Felicia and MJ versus The Hood, huh?
Not sure if I want to pick this up. I like Jed McKay and I like The Hood. The cover just sort of looks like a fanservice issue of not much interest.
That's one of the nicest things someone can say to me because this work below was a trendsetter for emulated disasters.
which I hope I can get to when I have time to breathe again
No less, it's a good hook for the issue proper with how Felicia more dragged MJ along to keep her safe more than anything.

Looks pretty good, can’t wait to pick this up. One thing though, how come Parker only thinks of Peter as “a washed up photographer” when he was the head of Parker Industries for a while. Peter is basically a public figure now, but it seems like that’s being ignored sometimes.
