That's definitely Walt Simonson on the art so it has to be from his brief run. The Time Variance Authority shows up at the end of the fabled time duel between Reed and Victor in FF#352, which had drawn their attention. Prior to that, Ben was using the Thing suit and was in his human form. But in issue #350 he subjects himself being transformed into the Thing again, but his transformation looks different from both the original and Spikey thing. I don't know if it has an official name. But he did it so that Sharon Ventura wouldn't feel as miserable if he transformed back into the Thing too. I guess Reed just happens to have a device just laying around that can do it because he just goes to their lab and subjects himself to it's effects.
Reed’s had a device called the Stimulator that can re-empower the FF lying around since FF #37, it’s been used a couple of times since but is largely forgotten. Though the device Ben used to turn back into the Thing was something he seemed to just cobble together out of stuff he found in Reed’s lab.

when does the next cartoon show come out? There should be a new series. 65 episodes for streaming. I think this should be done regardless of whatever's happening with a live action film.

I’m new to the fantastic four and I was wondering what the reckoning war is about? Also is Franklin still powerless?

Honestly, the whole "pineapple" moniker never crossed my mind until this page from Hulk #365 -- I always referred to him and the "Spikey Upgraded" Thing.

Thanks for the info, I owned the TVA issues when he wore the suit, but missed the 350th anniversary issue. Couldn't find anything about this transformation online!

Interesting, granted I wasn't a regular reader of the Hulk, but maybe I heard the nickname from someone who was reading it, or maybe it's just something we all collectively thought of subconsciously.

Wow. Thing's reaction was EXACTLY my reaction. LOL!
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

Got that in a larger size? It's too small to read.

    Spoilers for Fantastic Four #39

    spoilers:
This is the kind of power I want Johnny to keep permanently (with side effects of course). The ability to still burn in space and underwater as well as the intensity of his flames is something I wanted for a while. The only difference should be that this level of flame should come with a time limit and exhaustion afterwards as if using his nova flame. That way it's something that makes him stronger without being too OP.

Johnny underwater should have caused a massive steam explosion with how hot he was burning, but I think comics have long since kicked science in the crotch on the floor.

    spoilers:
Good issue, but I hated the end. I’ve actually enjoyed most of Slott’s run… except for his complete disassembling of the Future Foundation. They’re all gone now. They were a great supporting cast and weren’t hurting anyone. He should have just let them continue to be there, even if they weren’t in the spotlight. Ugh.

I've realized that my problem Slott's FF is that he writes like it's the bronze age. Which explains why Johnny is so immature and Sue and Val are practically non-existent.

Nope. Gray Hulk never had any interaction with Ben's FF team, so seeing Sharon, it's no wonder he thought it was Ben.
