I am not defending Ridley's poor writing. He wouldn't have had to fight an empire to come back to her if he didn't leave in the first place. T'challa leaves all the time. He left her to be tortured in TV, he annulled their marriage. For once she left and I am fine with it. I am grateful that it's over and prayerfully these two will never get back together because this back and forth is tiring. Let them find someone else. There has never been some strong cosmic love story just hints of one . They aren't the black Reed and Sue.

I say this resorctfully but your point doesn't make any sense. he was being a hero and a king. its no different from storm leaving to fight threats in space or in other dimensions.

The outcome of his choices doesn't change his behavior. When she asks him to stay he always bounces. I can't make you understand something as clear as day. He's allowed to shine and be great but he doesn't take her feelings into account. He always sacrificing their relationship to do those things at her expense and gets praised for it. The opposite is true for Ororo. Why is he allowed to be a hero and leave and not face any criticism but when Ororo does the exact same thing she's a bitch?
