I want to say, I'm hopeful but...if anything, the past few years have shown me that nothing is set in stone and my personal expectations are best kept tempered to: If it happens, when it happens, I hope it's by a writer and artist I love and appreciate. Full stop.

exactly. that's why i feel it is lacking. let's ignore the first issue came and got storm, let's ignore red story was changed, let's ignore apparently only one female can do something at a time, let's ignore it's a mental meeting with council members and everyone can mulitask but storm or jean. Let's just throw wild accusations out with no context or explanation. i'm not doing that anyday but especially not today. Let's also ignore that there are ONLY prominent WHITE people in this event and the ONE person of color on the council was ignored in a story where a lead character is talking about the council burden, i mean if they want to go there. I could go on with what we would have to ignore.

Like let's also ignore the only place people will see Storm story is red and if marvel keeps sidelining it for other events like they did sword the story will never get told all the while isolating her. Let's ignore they got jean all over this event but if more people are reading it as it's an event she looks like the WEAKEST telepath. Let's just ignore everything because it's just about Storm and Jean not getting shine. I mean let's forget 100 covers and no black people on them. You can't have it both ways or at all apparently.

Do people seriously think Marvel is going to let Storm or any minority be the focal point and main driver of an x-crossover?



History has shown us that isn't happening. I know some might think that's being negative or that the x office doesn't have a minority representation problem, but their track record says otherwise. It is what it is. We can't even get an explanation or insight as to why Storm is the Voice of Sol after a year. A Storm fueled event isn't happening with tptb that are in charge currently.

While there isn't a scene between Brand and Storm detailing her role as VoS/RoA and why she accepted the position....we do know that Brand placed her there because she thought Storm would be tractable and easy to manipulate. Brand was proven wrong. And while we don't know if there were other candidates (I suspect it was purely made up for Storm) there's no arguing she's the best for the position as no one else would have stood up to Doom as she did.

Normally I would agree with you but I do think the x office has surprised me more in the last couple of years. I think they are going to do Storm event.

Don't get me wrong I get your point but I'm really not all that sad abt Kieron not writing Ororo. Like worse case I'd rather Duggan gets her again. At least she had some presence (and a feat sprinkled on the side) when he wrote her in X-Men.
