Writers have talked about doing this with characters before, so it's possible. After they made her more powerful than before is when she stopped being a constant. But it's easy to apply limits if they want. They always had the thing in comics where she had to tap into extra energy to be that powerful. Her powers were downgraded after she came back. Because it was written that she was on a Life Force high.

    Wasn’t this enough?

Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”

Of course not. I mean is there a problem with Strange(both Stephen and Clean), Storm, Jean Grey, Exodus, Hope, Magneto, Vulcan? I could list so many more but I think you get the drift.
Where Darkhold and Trial of Magneto a problem? Both portrayed her as a powerful and she had feats in both.

She is obviously not street level so if somebody wants to write about then they should write Daredevil or Black Widow unless you make a fun little moment out of it. There is this moment in the Robinson run where Wanda stops a bank robbery by just putting everyone to sleep. It's just a single page to make a fun showcase of how trivial something like that is for someone who blows up a church and puts it back together in the same run.

Should there be writers who complain about someone being too powerful they are just talking about their own limitations. I don't see Al Ewing having that problem just as an example of a writer who seems to have a good handle on writing powerful characters.

I'm pretty sure Wanda surpasses all of those characters you mentioned with her reality powers.
I like Wanda being more powerful than she was with just her hex powers but not with her reality bending powers.
I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
Not a fan of any of the new characters.

Yeah I prefer her mid-range as well. Powerful enough to make a huge difference, but not so overly powered that she becomes a plot device.

Jean is also a bad example because she was a character that they took out of comics for a long time too.

It's why characters need limitations. Because there are only so many challenges and only so many villains that could even compete that their existence is a cake walk. There is not meat in their narrative, and they just become plot devices. There's articles on this. And it's not writer limitation that they can't write an uber powerful character. There's just a natural ceiling before it becomes so ridiculous that it can't continue.

She shouldn't be depowered..if you can write the Silver Surfer, God Doom, etc..you can write her. Just need capable writers. That's it.

There's no such thing as a character who is too powerful to use, because every writer makes up their power levels based on what the story requires. How does Superman be part of a team? How can Batman or Hawkeye be useful? Because the writer finds excuses.

Wanda in the comics has never been portrayed with story-breaking power levels except in stories that don't use her as a hero. The same with the MCU version. The only time she's been "story breaker" powerful is in this movie, and that doesn't even make any sense (since as I noted, they nerfed her powers back down to red energy bolts), but the story wants her to be unstoppable, so she is.

Simple as that. If she ever fights a villain again, she will suddenly not be powerful enough to instantly defeat that villain.

Those characters you mentioned they've given limits to, it's how they keep using them.

They've literally depowered those characters before, jobbed them and killed off Surfer, several times.

And it's not saying depower. It's saying provide limits. Wanda already has limits baked in. Writers either ignore them or forget them.

Just my two cents: I'm not a Wanda specialist by any mean (I'm a Doctor Strange fan), but in my own opinion, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness story is only reflecting Wanda's behaviors from the comics. Most of the time, based on the comics that I have read, Wanda pretty much always appears to be some kind of a villain because she's pissed off, or because she's possessed by a demon. Michael Waldron and Sam Raimi only adapted what already exists in the comics. If you feel cheated by how Wanda is portrayed in that movie, that's the comics writers fault, not Michael Waldron (writer), Sam Raimi (director), or Kevin Feige (Producer).

I am, however, saddened that the only great 'recent' story with Wanda seems to be the limited series Scarlet Witch v.2 (2015-2017). She deserve her own ongoing book with her as a hero.
