The most inconsistent piece of this costume, to me, has always been the shoes.

That's kind of a given for those costumes that are designed basically without shoes... I like when they add heels and a line at the top to show that she's wearing boots (for the new costume the built-in shoe thing kinda works but not for this one imo).

As a PC player I no longer have care about stuff like that but I was playing on consoles for a long time previously. I played GTA V on the Xbox 360 and without having even a reference point to compare it to you could feel the game was too much for the console to handle so compromises had to be made. The same happened with Cyberpunk 2077 which wasn't polished in general but especially on last gen consoles. I don't think Midnight Suns will be one of those games. Certainly nothing I have seen from it makes me think so but the fact that they omitted mentioning the last gen versions in their announcements shows it's no longer a priority for them.

So in my opinion if you game often and want to do it in the long term you should think about an upgrade. That being said Microsoft has an awkward strategy. The Series S is less powerful than the Series X or PS5 so it's a bastard child. Microsoft forces developers to release games on both versions and several devs already made negative comments about it. It's why I expect that latter down the line the Xbox version of games will be compromised because devs have to content with two different sets of hardware which isn't the case with the PS5. Alternatively Microsoft will drop the requirement to release on both which would be bad news for the Series S long term support.
