The MA cast shade on T'Challa. He tells them about Jhai (off-panel) begs for their aid (literally) and promises to never seek the throne again if they help save Wakanda. Shuri comes up with a plan to sneak back into the capital so she can disable the HZ tech. It fails, but she's rescued by Mary Tosin. He takes her back to his village, where she meets up with the PM and gets to go all agog over the fact that Tosin's people are more in tune with nature than she is. Meanwhile, T'Challa has a talk with Storm, who says she will never forgive him for disrespecting her by spying on Krakoa. The last page is Shuri & Tosin getting ready to save the day.

This man took everything shitty about Coates run and somehow amplified it.

The... skill and determination of Ridley to do what he is doing in like... 4 issues is just... Wow.


And even if you don't care about T'challa.... just from a pure story telling perspective this book is a MESS.

Just goes to show how little anyone at Marvel thinks of T'challa. They would never refer to their other big characters like that. Ever.

Okay so this book has offically jumped the shark. The only reason AKill had power is because the prime minister gave it to him but now all of a sudden when he son's up on her she is "oh no do you." and then wants to blame Tchalla in the next scene like where those troops you had at the ready to hunt down tchalla. Then the only reason the democracy is about to fall is because of the actual people who are running it. Also when your in a room and you call your self the good person blood being spilled i really start to question the narrative of the overall story.

Then that's not even touching on Tchalla voice isn't even consistent with the story arc. How does he go from i am wakanda, nothing has really changed at least from his perspective but now all of a sudden he is not king, could never be king, and will never be king again. And the begging? omg, yeah i stick by what i said earlier burn wakanda and be done with it. This was like a complete 180 in voices.

And the only thing i'm going to say about the coogler "Best friend thing" is if the CEO of Marvel was Kevin Feige best friend and passed, i bet they'd fill the roll with someone else. **Shrugs i thought people were maybe being i don't know, but this is not a good issue for the title character at all. begging, pleading, i mean did i miss something? what changed from a few panels in the book. I get the same feeling i get from Legion in Legion of X today about Wakanda and co, tired of these whiney a$$ complainers that don't deserve to be able to complain.
