I can honestly say I don’t believe they will completely eliminate him from the MCU. Not because I have faith in Moore or Feige, it’s more rooted in my belief that they’ll realize there’s too much money to be made if you have TChalla around. And I don’t think the sequel will feel complete without a TChalla in it. And the revenue it gets will support that.

Unless they changed their minds, Moore already said we won't be seeing "616 MCU" T'Challa again so why keep him alive if we're never going to see him again? I already accepted that the character is dead in the sacred timeline universe. Even if they introduce a variant someday it'll be in a supporting/guest role in a project and not leading a film series.
The “616” comment let me know that a variant is a strong possibility. But even then it’s a slippery slope because Coogler and Moore have shown that they care more about Wakanda rather than T’Challa even when Chadwick was still alive. If the variant does lead what I can see them doing is not having him be king but be the BP that does the superhero work while Shuri has the throne like they did in the comics at one point. And I know a lot of us are done with the pairing but don’t be surprised if they decide to bring T’Challa back when Storm makes her debut. The concept of a power couple is way too good of a marketing opportunity for them to pass up. Lol.

Conflicting reports out there concerning the 'Wakanda Forever' views at Cinemacon, with some saying there was no new footage shown at all, only clips from the past film. Hopefully there will be clearer info by the end of the day.

The sad thing is black woke writers are the ones responsible for it. Black writers of today are so interested in pushing feminism.

Blade is going to disappoint all these folks looking forward to him. To me Disney+ has already shown they've got nothing on edgy characters when it comes to Netflix Marvel lol.

Wokeness and feminism are not the problem. I’d say it’s more of writers lacking imagination. Let’s not forget that the mere existence of this franchise is woke in of itself since T’Challa was created at the height of the civil rights movement.

They can't do anything unless someone PAYS them to do it and more importantly PUBLISH said material and ensure it gets on shelves.

That includes dealing with EDITORS. Who many writers will gladly tell you the issues they have with them.

Because check writers and editors are paying attention to what is "popular" or the "easy way".

It's why you see certain types of black books in stores and others are stuck online.

It's why if you look at a lot of indy black comics-it's a different story.

That would actually be kind of hilarious if they were just reusing old footage instead of stuff from the actual film

It is when that's all the writers seem interested in doing. T'Challa was about diversity to a universe that lacked it severely. We are not in those times anymore - and even in those times it was still character driven. It wasn't about him being black and oppressed, quite the opposite. Not even Luke Cage reminded it's audience every page he was black. They put story first. They didn't lead with politics.

But are they really popular? I mean black writers don't have to do it. Priest took a stand when the industry tried to tokenize him. I think those type of stories are hurtful. Nobody wants open a page and BAM police brutality, white oppression, sexism, blah blah. I'm not saying those things have bi place in comics, but it's so predictable.

Yeh, he was out there early and most of the people posting about it are requoting his original post. John Campea says there was a few seconds of new footage, and that it was Nakia focused. I'm not really satisfied with any of the vague descriptions thus far.

I’ll find it funny if they don’t show any footage or hint of T’Challas fate during the advertising phase.

They really are in a tough spot in terms of marketing.

On one hand, they are trying to drag out "who is the next BP" and on the other hand, they have to be careful to not profit off of Chadwick's death in the marketing.

They’ll be profiting off of his death either way once people go to see the film out of curiosity over T’Challas fate. The last thing Marvel wants is for this man’s loved ones to call them out for trying to exploit his passing by making it a plot point.
